Has anyone been to the Butterfly Farm in Grand Cayman? I know that it's $15 for adults and $9 for children. We have two daughters, ages 13 and 8. Will it be something they would enjoy? We did Stingray City about a year ago, so we want to do something different. What about Sea Grape Beach there? Is it a good beach for snorkeling if we bring our own equipment? Thanks!

If your daughter is gaga about turtles, dont visit the Turtle Farm. Its shocking to see hundreds of turtles in small pools, biting the others. Sorry, but we have been there and I could not recommend it, not for adults, and certainly not for children. NoNo

Here is how you can get information regarding the Butterfly Farm in Grand Cayman. Send an e-mail to: butterflyfarm_cayman@yahoo.com and they will respond in a day or two. I sent an e-mail and the cost of admission is $15 for adults and $9 for kids. Plus, if you bring in a copy of the e-mail they send back, you'll get an additional 10% discount. So much cheaper than booking it through the cruise ship. We've opted to do the Butterfly Farm instead of the Turtle Farm because I think it might be upsetting to my daughters. They are huge animals lovers and very tender-hearted. Oh, and to also let you know, the Butterfly Farm is just a ten-minute drive from the pier where you can grab a taxi or a shuttle. We plan to spend the remaider of the afternoon soaking up some sun at Sea Grape Beach. Hope this helps! Have a wonderful cruise!

Bobinnm,

I just noticed that you're from Huntsville, AL. We lived in Madison, AL. for 7 years and loved it! We moved from there just two years ago.
