Have been approached by some people that have proposed an interesting idea and hoping to get some feedback about the concept. Having cruised as a single parent with my daughter in toe, I know that this would have been a valuable resource, but wondering if others feel the same way. Here's the question: Would you consider taking a group cruise with other single parents where complimentary babysitting was offered as part of the package?
Well, you would have certainly had me as a passenger - great idea! Unfortunately my duaghter is fully grown and I no longer need a babysitter, but I would have jumped at the chance. Shelley
Nancy Not knowing what a daughter in toe is, I don't know. But I would take a singles cruise if they offered spouse baby sitting, at least my spouse would be happy!
Great idea! Just like Luv2Cruis, my son is now 18 and my daughter is 17, but had this been available when they were younger I would have loved it! Cindi
My answer is hell yes... But I'd even pay for private in room sitting... I mean $10 bucks an hour for 5 hours for 3 or 4 nights is no big deal, it's a drop in the cost bucket.. I just am trying to find out info on doing a singles cruise! I would LOVE to go on one, but have no idea if I should just book a regular Singles cruise and take my 2 daughters with me, or do I need to plan a cruise specific to a singles parents cruise?? What did you do when you took yours??? Thanks Terri
Just my .02, but I will take a second cruise to the Bahamas with my daughter this Dec. We did this in '01 and had a great time. I look at it as "our" time, away from business, school, the phone, etc. She is 12 now, and I need the away time just to catch up with her. We live together, but with the distractions of every day life, it isn't until you get away that you get to really get together.
FYI-Vacations To Go is offering a single parent cruise aboard the carnival triumph from July 1st-8th 2006. I have boooked the trip w/ my 6 year old. Check out the website. The more the merrier!
