I'm going on a cruise majesty of the seas on 10-29 07 to be exact, and i will be goin alone. I consider myself a peoples person but now im getting a little anxious if it was a good idea for me to go alone
Hi vickysid, welcome to cruise chat, I have never cruised on majesty of the seas but on the last cruise we were on ...we had on 2 seperate occasions, a single person on our table and they chatted and got on fine with everyone on the table each time. We even met one of them a few days later by the lifts and had a brief chat as to how they were enjoying the cruise. I think you'll be fine, have a great cruise and let us know how you got on when you come back....regards jack.

we had our first cruise 3 months ago from sydney australia and there was this lady by herself, she latched onto my wife and i and we kept her company whilst on the cruise, but i suppose you have to be careful who you meet up with

I cruised alone on the Majesty on October 1 - October 5 and had a great time. You will meet lots of people and have lots of fun. Don't worry about cruising alone. I did and had lots of fun.
I've mentioned this before on other threads, and I'll mention it here. The point is that you are on vacation and the point is to just relax and have fun!

Vickey, I have cruised on the Majesty twice by myself. One of my favorite ships...do the things you like to do onboard and at the ports, and you will find others with the same interests. Be safe, and I always liked the intimate Champagne bar on the 7th floor, small crowds and easier to get to know folks. Make sure you have requested a large table, and do not be afriad to change tables if the group does not welcome you. Others will...and like me, you might make some lifetime friends.

Hi vickeysid, you are in for a wonderful time. I've cruised by myself and absolutely had a ball. You don't have to do what someone else wants to do, you can go when you want to go, and best of all-no one is snoring in your room I met others on board that were single. On one cruise I was seated with a family of 5, they were really great people. Even though their children were younger than I, they liked snorkeling, so we had fun snorkeling together. On the other cruise, I was seated at a table with 2 couples and a family of 3. They were all fun people and we did do a couple of excursions together. Like queenofcruzin said, if your tablemates aren't a good group, don't hesitate to request being moved. You'll have a wonderful time. Best wishes!
