We just returned from our 4th Celebrity cruise and experienced unbearable smoke accumulating in our inside cabin from some rude smokers who smoked in the hallway/cabin. Has anyone else experienced this? Does Tom Ogg have any info on this problem? Is it a problem with the ship's design regarding ventilation in the cabins? We reported it over 20 times to Guest relations, and nothing was ever done. This has happened on previous cruises. In most other areas, we are pleased with Celebrity. Other people who have been on other cruise lines don't seem to have had this problem....
I just got off the Mercury and while smoking was present in some areas on the port side of the ship, it was never invasive. I can't imagine how irritating that must have been for you. I am quite senistive to smoking and do not like to be around it at all.
I have never had a problem with smoke in my cabin, however, I did have a couple of women sharing a cabin that was heavily infiltrated with smoke on a cruise about a year ago and they managed to get reaccommodted into a different cabin.
