Use the ships towels, they're on the small side but work fine. No reason to pack things you don't have to. Just be sure you bring them back to the ship or you'll see a surprising charge on your tab at the end.
Neil is right...as always!! Use the ship's towels. The new ones on Carnival are actually very nice...big and soft. But one word of advice...DON'T LOSE THEM! You will be charged, and they're not cheap! So be careful. But definitely use their towels. Save room in your suitcase for all the crap you're going to buy while on vacation!
Yeah, the towels are getting nicer....and they do allow you to take them with you off the ship for excursions or just beach breaks.

and you can tell who is from your ship, just by looking at their towels. One way to find someone to share a cab with and compare notes. (I know you can share a cab with any cruiser since they all end up in the same place but it is nice to connect with shipmates.)
