I am to be travelling on the Celebrity's constellation ship sailing around the Caribbean next year. I am aware that the ship provides towels in the cabins but what about when sunbathing on deck or going off ship when visiting the ports. Am I supposed to take my own towels along for these ocassions or am I allowed to use the ships towels? Thanks for your advice
The towels for going ashore are bright yellow w/the Celebrity Logo on them. You are charged for them if you leave them behind on the beach or take them with you
I take my own towel to save a lounge chair with...everyone takes dibs on chairs ar. 7 am, then walks/exercises in gym (many do), so if u want poolside, do that! Plus, u may need a nice one when u go to the beaches, a long one...chair rentals @ beaches can b as much as $10 or more...
I have started a new hobby. I am going to go to the pool area about 7:15 and start collecting towels. At $10 each, it's better than collecting sea glass!!!
boatsfloat, if you had been on my Celebrity cruise last month, you could have also made a small fortune by collecting paperbacks, flip flops, T-shirts, and even a snorkel mask.
Lorraine, I'd save the packing room and use the towels the ship provides. You can take them off the ship -- just bring them back. Your cabin steward will replace them with a clean set that evening.
