My husband and I will be sailing on the Summit in June. We leave from Venice for a 12 day cruise on the Mediterranean. I'm trying to find out some information about the formal nights aboard. I understand there are 3 formal nights. I've been told that the second night is a formal night. However this cruise leaves from Venice and stays in port the first night so the second night is really the first sailing night. Anyone sail on this cruise last year and can remember when the formal nights were??? Thanks for your help - you're all so informed about cruises!
Just completed my first cruise on January 26th on the Summit. It seems like your a bit nervous. Don't worry when the exact formal nights are set. Just relax and enjoy! My wife and I sailed the Caribbean on this ship. The memories have exceeded the expectations. For you and your husband, this 12 days seems like a dream cruise. Oh, your first formal night will be the second or third night. ---Enjoy
Not on the Summitt, but my 12 day Med cruise, the first day at sea sounds like a perfect night for formal night, relax all day, pamper yourself a little, then dress for dinner, plenty of time too. A 12 night Med cruise is a little like a marathon, usually port intensive, and I loved all the history, mixed with the charm of the European towns, find the time to relax and enjoy this trip. Go to Europe port chat here for some great advice on what is available in each port.

Thanks for your replies! I'm not nervous - just want to make reservations for the special dining and don't want to conflict with a formal night! And thanks for the suggestion about Eruope chat - will check it out!
