I am thinking about booking the San Diego round trip to Hawaii on Mercury in Oct. 08. Has anyone been on the Mercury for this cruise? The reviews of the ship are mixed. I have sailed with Carnival and MSC and had a wonderful time, I would hope for the same on this cruise. Is the ice cream free on the Mercury, or do we have to pay for every little thing. Thanks.

we sailed with the MERCURY in december last year from Miami to San diego. The ship is nice, the stateroom and food were good.

The ice cream is free, very good and you have many toppings.

We had a great time on board.

The ice cream is not only free, it is made on the ship daily. It is delicious! Also try the cold soups at dinner--fabulous! Have not sailed the Mercury to Hawaii, but sailed the Mercury to Alaska last September and loved it. Service was awesome. The ship has just been completely retrofitted.
