I have been on 4 cruises in my life. One with Royal Caribbean and 3 with Carnival. I want to cruise on Celebrity eventually. But it is hard to find the time or opporitunity. I suppose Celebrity ships do not maintain a home port and are always repositioning. At least it seems that way compared to other cruiselines. For example, if you mention a cruise ship from Carnival, you will pretty much know it has a homeport it does round trip cruises from. For example, the Carnival Glory's home port is Cape Canaveral. It seems that the same cannot be said for Celebrity's ships.
I would prefer if I could go on a Celebrity cruise that has a roundtrip cruise leaving from a port in Florida.
Also, I wonder if there is a best time of the year to cruise on Celebrity?
Frase, the Millennium does 7-night eastern Caribbean cruises out of Ft. Lauderdale in the winter, and the Constellation does 11-night Caribbean cruises, also out of Ft. Lauderdale. They do head off to other parts of the world in spring, but if you want a Celebrity cruise that leaves from Florida, you have at least a couple of choices in the winter.
In the winter months the Century does 4 and 5 night cruises out of Miami. December 3, 2008 the Infinity will be doing a one time 4nt cruise out of Ft Lauderdale.
