I have obviously been on RCI many times and would like to try Celebrity. I invite opinions of the Celebrity and RCI fans alike, posting on Celebrity to receive their slant, since I have slanted the other way. I thought one of the 5 night on the Century would be a good introduction. Please share my cruising friends....

Hi queenofcruzin. First, by looking at your list of past cruises, it appears you are (at least) Diamond level in Crown & Anchor. So, give Celebrity a call to enroll in Captain's Club, as your credits in C&A will entitle you to Elite Status with Celebrity...a huge bonus.
We were on Century in July 2007. She's a great ship -- might seem on the small side given some of the ships you've been on recently, yet her layout works and makes it easy to meet others in passing. She was refurbished in 2006 and now has balcony cabins, a specialty dining room (superb) and a huge spa area.
Century is a slightly different ship after the refurb. More balconies than it was "born" with. We cruised on the Century twice in it's original layout and for a while it was our favorite ship. Our favorite cabins are the nine stern-facing "sky suites" on the Penthouse Deck. They used to be called something else, but had suite amenities.
I tend to RCI Vision class ships on my own, would try some bigger ships with friends again, but I don't need it. Seems like Celebrity has a classy feel, and I have heard raves about the food. Yes Lisa , I would definitely take advantage of Captain Club status, thanks for the reminder. Food, Elegance, smile and meet nice people with a simple 5 day itinerary. Just want other's opinions who have tried both or really love one, anxious for feedback.

I would try the Century, but it is a little smaller than the "M" class of ships, which we love. The food, service and everything about Century says "Celebrity" so no worries there. As my dear husband says "try it you'll like it"! FYI: we have been on Century before and after the redo. Say HI to Capt. Nicklos Pegonis. He is such a nice guy.
