Hi ya'll! Just excited about our Alaska Trip. We had booked Carnival, but we decided to try another line. We went through the process of Princess or Celebrity and our group decided on Infinity.
I am looking forward to a new cruise line. This should be interesting.

If anyone has been on the Infinity, I would love to hear what you have to say about the ship.

I just can't wait.

Hi! Chris

We have only been on 2 cruises before, both with Carnival.
But, wanting to try new cruise company to see the difference, we have booked with Celebrity Infinity 7 day Alaska cruise June 17th 2007.
Cant wait......only 2 /2 weeks before we leave australia or the states to start our trip .
so hopefully on my return I can let you know what it was like.
till then
Regards
Hazel

Hazel - THANKS! I would love to see what you think of the difference between Carnival and Celebrity...if one exists. From some of the photos I have seen, it seems very elegant.
I have over a year to wait. Eek

Hi! Chris(cruiseinallthetime)
I sent a message awhile back regards Infinity. We sailed on our trip back in June to Alaska, it was a great trip(the roundtrip back to Vancouver) Having already been on two Carnival Cruises before and found them to be great ,we wanted to see what the difference was with another line.
Even though we enjoyed every minute of Celebrity , we had booked concierge class for a treat, but found this to be a little dissapointing apart from a few extras(pillows) ammenities etc. What we did miss was a good room steward(as we have had with carnival) and the little animals they make for turndowns(nice touch) we didnt get any of this on infinity. We thought the decor of carniival ships were a lot nicer and we missed the enourmous atrium that carnival have with the glass elavators.
The service on celebrity on the whole was slightly better but everything else was pretty much the same.
The ports are lovely(loved Ketchikan) and we enjoyed icy straight point.
Happy cruisin! regards Hazel from oz.

I was on the infinity on nov. 25, 08 from valparaiso to buenos aires. from one to ten i will gave to the cruise a minus 5.the 7 floor cabbins with veranda the smell was terribol every single night after 9:00pm. The food after 14 day was the same pasta, sea food or sushi. But the excursion was great. the only thing that bother all passanger was in stanly island. we wait 4 hours to go out since 8:00am finnally we were out around 1;30 pm to go to the ship before 3:30pm my room it was ugly like motel. but the stateroom services i will gave them a 10
