I am concerned about having three people in a 172 sq.ft cabin.
they say the third person will sleep on a berth bed. This looks scary to me.
do you know if they would offer a role over bed instead of the berth?
I can not picture looking up and see my kid sleeping over my head.

If you mean an upper berth, it will indeed be above the other beds. They will not add an additional roll away to your cain. There is a sefety railing on the upper so everything should work out fine. If you really want all beds on the floor, moving up to a balcony or suite would provide a pull out sofa for the 3rd pax.

I was on near-sister ship Century several months ago, and got a look at some of the cabins in this category, and they were not much larger than our balcony cabin. Our cabin measured 175 square feet and had a sofabed, and when the sofabed was opened, there wasn't much room to walk around.

How old is your child? One thing we used to do when our son was younger was to bring a thin inflatable mattress for him (the type used under sleeping bags), which would then slide under the bed in the morning. This would take up far less room than a rollaway.

There will be a ladder to get you up and down on the berth bed....if it's three adults, it could be cramped....Happy Cruising...
