We're planning to give my mum a trip with the celebrity century but we want to stay with 3 persons in one stateroom (interior class). When sailing Carnival last week we had an additional bed on the wall so that the rooms are suitable for 3 persons. Can you tell me if the Century also have this kind of extra beds?
They sure do, but keep in mind that triple and quad cabins sell out pretty quick, so depending on the time you want to sail, contact your TA and get them to check what is available for you.

Do keep in mind that sailing on Celebrity is defintely a different product then sailing on Carnival.

When we were on Carnival Fascination we absolutely hate the horrible buffetfood (very fat). But fore the rest it was awesome and a very ''feel free-attitude'', no one was walking the hole day in suits/dresses only when you went dining it was a must to wear something formal. Can you tell me how the attidude on the Celebrity is? You know we're very down to earth kind a persons, that's the way why Carnival was pretty good for us (although sometimes a little ordinair atmosphere, like you are in mcdonalds). Whe chose Celebrity because it's way cheaper then carnival for this period. Please can you give me information about all kind of stuff?
Celebrity isn't stuffy or snooty, it is just more reserved than Carnival - less glitz and perhaps a more European style to things such as dinner. No parades of waiters singing and dancing, and I have always been impressed by the service I have received. Celebrity doesn't have a lot of public announcements. They want you to "do your own thing" too, and you won't see suits or dresses during the day. I like the Celebrity product, and I really like the Century, although like Carol I haven't been on the ship since the modifications. I sailed on Century twice prior to it's overhaul.
We also had the Baked Alaska parade on our Century cruise a couple of months ago in Norway.
Erik, we sailed three to a stateroom, although it was not in an inside cabin. But, as I always do (it's the journalist in me ), I peeked into a few cabins on disembarkation day. The interior cabins have a fold-down upper berth for the third person. But, as Carol mentioned, the triples can sell out quickly, and not every cabin can accommodate three, so check availability and book as soon as you are able.

Hi Erik, I see quite a few people have answered this since I posted and some great answers also. You will not find things like the "hairy man contest" and the other silly games around the pool. Less anouncements, and the food is absolutly great. When you embark the ship, the staff will be there to welcome you, with a try of either champagne or mimosas, then a steward will escort you to your cabin..classy. During the day as Dave stated, people are casual as you will find on the Carnival ships, but at night it is a little more formal. Read your daily newsletter, it tells you for each day the dress code. Century does ask you to keep the ombiance of the night and respect the dresscode, but if you want casual on a formal night they do request that you stay on the lido. There is nothing more discouraging then to see most everyone dressed up on formal night then a few people walking around in their shorts and tank tops.
