Hello, I have recently noticed that there are no scheduled trips for the Millenium in Europe between Apr 2 and Apr 21st 2007. Does anyone know why this is? IS it going into dry dock? The girl I called at Celebrity had no idea, so I thought one of you might know.

Yes, I understand the "Millennium" is to enter dry-dock in order to be partially re-engined. The cruise line plans to add a new diesel generator to produce energy for the hotel department, while the propulsion will continue to be achieved by a gas turbine / Mermaid podded propulsion system.

Raoul, your info is probably better than mine, but while on Millennium a couple of weeks ago a crew member told us that the gas turbines on all the M-Class ships were being replaced by diesels in the interest of better economy.
