NCL's Norwegian Dream collided with a cargo vessel today as it left its port, Montevideo, in Uruguay. Damage is above the waterline and said to not be serious. The other vesel is ok, too, although some containers and a vehicle or two may have been knocked into the shallow water.
The Dream will stay in Montevideo for a couple of extra days for repair, and will miss a couple of ports on its 14 day trip to Ushuaia.
Apparently, no one was hurt.

Thanks for the clarification. I haven't seen anything else about the collision since this morning. Have you heard anything about itinerary modifications, which ports will be eliminated, etc?
my fist information from board the Norwegian Dream was eliminated the stops on the falkland´s an in Puerto Madryn an the cruise going together from Usuhaia, Punta Arenas, Chacabuco and Puerto Montt to Valparaiso. At this time the Norwegian Dream stay at Montevideo , the passenger leave (?) the ship ???
Norwegian Dream Collision in Montevideo, Uruguay. Photo link posted on this page were of previous collision in England in 1999. I was on another cruise ship in Montevideo when the Dream collided with the barge on December 10, 2007. I saw the Dream as she returned to port and photographed the damage and it was much less extensive than in the previous collision in England. There were 5 shipping containers and 3 vehicles that were knocked into the channel, not onto the Dream. It took almost 24 hours to complete recovery of lost cargo and fully re-open the harbor.
