I have booked the Alaska cruise on the Sun for next July. I booked the AD Suite 9002 and have not been able to find any diagrams or pictures of this particular type suite. Can anyone tell me what the layout is like? Also, will we enjoy being on the bow of the ship? We have never had a room there before.
We stayed just below that suite on the Sun. Can't comment on that exact room lay-out, but will comment on the being on the bow. We did experience a fair bit of motion when not in the inside passage. I see that the Sun will be on the Seattle run this time around, stopping in Prince Rupert. You may be exposed to a fair bit of motion, particularly on the return trip, being on the outside of Vancouver Island.
I awoke the first day and thought I had a bug. Once on deck I saw the rollers in the swimming pool and realized why I felt this way. A couple hours on deck and I was fine. We were probably only exposed to open ocean for 6 hours or so. Being just above where we were, do expect some motion, and take precautions.
