Well, for one.............be sure to take the White Pass Train Ride in Skagway. We went on the 8:15 a.m. one because we didn't want to do all the "other stuff" We were fortunate because we had clear, lovely weather. The rain moved in for the afternoon excursions. That was the only rain we had (Sept. 1 -12 ). I don't know how many of you there are, but we were four, so we rented a car in Juneau and that was perfect............drove to Mendenhall Glacier and hiked, did the Visitor's center, etc. on our own.............and, our favorite museum ...............the State one is even walkable from the ship. We only had an hour and a half before they closed which wasn't enough but at least our grown kids got a taste of it; we've been there before....... Have a grand time!

Hmm, My top 3 would be a helicopter landing and glacier hike in Juneau, Misty Fjords Flightseeing in Ketchikan and the White Pass & Yukon Train in Skagway. Nancy

I would agree with Nancy on this one. All three are very memorable and would be the pick of the litter in each destination.
