Hi lindasman,

Welcome to Cruise-Chat! I'd say you have a great itinerary and exceptional pricing on that cruise. The Chilean Fjords will be photo ops and memories you'll enjoy for a lifetime. As far as the Dream, I'll leave that discussion to others but encourage you to read through reviews of the ship for more info from those who have cruised her.

Cheers, Neil

We sailed on the Dream and found it to be a good ship...not a great ship....we had an inside cabin and it was largest inside room of any ship we've been on.....the buffet is small and has a sports bar attached....not much room to sit and eat, the two main diningrooms are small and the middle one is rather inconvient..with foot traffic cutting thru it to get to their 9th deck rooms....the food was good and the crew were great....it was a smaller ship that was stretched....so areas are chopped up.....but I would go to South America on her in a heart beat:-)....Happy Cruising....I did do a review on the Dream at Cruise Reviews.com....

Bob, the post above is the most accurate and detailed description of the Dream of ever read. I never know quite how to pass on the pros and cons of such a ship. I'm glad I passed on giving my impression. I would not have come close to providing such a spot on review.

Bravo, Neil

Just like cruises...there isn't such a thing as a BAD ship...some are just BETTER than others...and it's FUN learning the difference...
The one problem is that when you think you've found out the difference...they come up with all the new ships...but the fun is in the TRYING...Happy Cruising to all and to all a GOOD cruise.

HI! We are booked on the Dream for its December 9 departure from Buenos Aires. Any other Dreamers out there who want to look at sharing tours in BA or any of the ports of call?

Next year the ship for this itinerary is the Norwegian Sun. Anyone joining us for the 12/21/08 departure from Santiago (Valparaiso), Chile... 2 weeks to Buenos Aires via the Chilean Fjords and the Strait of Magellan?

Hi
I cruised on the dream ship Dream from Valparaiso to Buenos Aires 23.12.07-6.1.08. the voyage after the collision with the barge one, damage fixed now but the dent in the bow is still there! We had a fabulous problem-free time with this special Christmas/New Year cruise . My oceanview stateroom category C Atlantic deck towards bow/midship was excellent lots of space, generous storage ( paid for double occupancy but had sole use)and genorous picture window .My stewardess Lilybeth and steward Norman were were delightful. I generally enjoyed the food (meat eater) and favoured Four Seasons restaurant deck 9 because it was convenient and I like to dress up a bit. Service and food there very good and the huge picture windows are fantastic.Excursions I pre-booked were great saves long queueing time at the excursions desk!! make sure you allow for plenty of film or space on your digital camera very photogenic itenerary. Enjoy...you will!!

Hi there,

My parents & grandparents are doing the same sailing as you from Buenos Aires on March 30-May 1 in Boston. I myself as well as my Aunt & Uncle are joining up with the cruise for the 2nd half starting in Santiago, Chile. We are all from the Toronto area and excited about the trip! I just booked my fare today relatively last minute.

My parents have been on the ship before and liked it since it's quaint & you don't have a million miles to walk to get everywhere like on some of the 100+ tonne vessels. They enjoyed the food & entertainment. Also they were very happy with the Oceanview staterooms, also this time they are in a balcony cabin for the first leg of the trip. I've been told the gym is pretty small but other than that everything has been positive.

I hope you have a great trip! I can't wait to get on the ship on April 13th Smile

Welcome to cruise-chat, Samantha! We will be getting on N. Dream soon after you're debarking. Our last time on N. Dream (pre-stretch when she was called Dreamward) was also a family cruise. We have wonderful memories of that time together, and I wish you the same!

Congrats on your new booking.

We are planning to book exactly this cruise. The price on the cruise is a sweet deal. However the airfare is astronomical. We are looking for the most economical way to get to and from the cruise. Did you arrange your flight yourself or did NCL booked it for you?

We are really exited about this upcoming cruise. I like to look at more reviews, can you recommend any website?

WE use miles for free airfare and are all set. I suppose it depends where you are flying from; we leave out of LAX. There are no reviews except as above. This is the first time they will use the Sun for this itinerary. Good luck!

Sorry I didn't see this post until now. My airfare was booked through NCL. It was about $1000 for one person.

If you did book on the cruise, come over to <link removed by Administrator>
There are many people on this cruise posting back & forth & planning to meet up on the ship.

Take care,

Sam
