We're leaving on the NCL Spirit on 4/13/08 out of NYC. I know the Gem is leaving the day before and we're wondering whether we will have any trouble parking at the Manhattan pier. We live in Upstate New York and are planning to drive in and park at the Manhattan pier on Sunday, the 13th. I assume the parking is plentiful enough to accomodate 2 ships worth of people (and probably more) but just wondering if anyone has any tips or insight into this situation. Would hate to be faced with a full garage and be driving around Manhattan at the last minute looking for parking for 6 nights!

Thanks in advance for any tips you can provide.

Karen

Relax, there's plenty of parking spaces.

Hi Karen, and welcome to cruise-chat.com!

Here's some information on Parking at the Manhattan cruise terminal, in case you haven't seen it already. Despite their line about "space subject to availability," that is rarely an issue. Remember, not everyone leaves their car there -- some come from the airports, by taxi, or are dropped off by a friend.

Happy cruising,
LisaP
