ALL passengers, regardless of nationality, booked on Norwegian Wind Hawaii cruises to Fanning Island, the Republic of Kiribati must have in their possession a valid passport to sail. Any passenger traveling without a valid passport will not be allowed to board the vessel and no refund will be issued. Exceptions can only be made for valid U.S. Alien Resident Card (ARC) holders.
Note: No passengers, regardless of nationality, require visas for Fanning Island, the Republic of Kiribati as all passengers are considered in-transit with the vessel.
Non-U.S. citizens (except Canadians & Bermudians) embarking and/or entering the U.S. on an NCL vessel must be in the possession of a valid passport and a multiple entry B-2 (visitor) visa or a visa waiver. There can be no refund of a cruise fare if a guest is prevented from boarding, denied entry into another country or subject to a fine, for lack of proper documentation. Non-U.S. citizens sailing on itineraries that call at Martinique may be required to obtain a French visa while on board.
Alien Residents of the United Statesholding an Alien Registration Card (ARC or “Green Card”) (Form I-551) may travel to Canada, Mexico, Bermuda (see Visa Restrictions for Bermuda) and the Caribbean with just their valid ARC and Proof of Identity. However, it is recommended that these guests also carry their passports from their country of citizenship if available. In some instances, ARC holders may still be required to have sailing permits and/or visas to enter countries NCL visits in these areas. Please note that travel anywhere else in the world requires a valid passport from the country you are a citizen of and subsequently subjects you to any documentation, visa and health requirements of all countries visited.
Canadian Residency Permit (CRP) holders who are NOT in possession of their permanent resident papers, or a valid Temporary Resident Visa, must be refused boarding if the vessel calls at any Canadian port during the cruise. Otherwise, the vessel is subject to pay heavy fines and the Canadian resident can be refused re-entry into Canada without their proper resident documentation.
