When is a good time to book a cruise. My husband wants me to wait until January to book our cruise to Bahamas & Florida that is set to sail. April 9, 2006. So that we can get the big bills and Christmas out the way. Is that too late, and is the possiblity of it being sold out then? I appreciate everyone's help. This is my first cruise of many I hope.

To get the best prices and guarantee that the ship is not sold out, I would recommend booking ASAP, if the price does go down (which is highly unlikely since its an April sailing) then you can get and adjustment, but by booking now you will lock the price in, just in case it does go up. Also, have a better chance of getting a good location for your cabin.

I know as an agent I am already booking cruises for as late in 2006 as October and November and people are inquiring into early 2007 cruises, so I would not wait to long. Also, January and February is known as "Wave Season", lots of bookings going on at that time, so the pickings are getting slim.

March and April are high season for cruising, as it is spring break for nearly everyone in the U.S. and Canada sometime during those months. All the more reason to book early!
