Does anyone have advice for keeping a very active, walking baby happy onboard? Also, anyone else onboard with baby or toddler? Our daughter will be 16 months old. Is there any time we can accompany her to the children's club? And is there any way to find a sitter onboard for a child youger than 2?

Thanks for all replies

First, children less than 2 aren't allowed into the Kids Crew. Here's NCL's web page about Kids Crew that should answer most of your questions.

Dear Ron:

Thanks. I had read all about Kids Crew, but had also read (somewhere) that it was flexible. Seemed unlikely, given liability issues. Is there any way to post on a message board on ship to find:
people cruising with young ones
people interested in forming a dive group to book a private excursion?

any advice appreciated,
Sasha's mom

Many cruise related web sites have roll call boards. Here's one I would recommend for your 7/29 Dawn cruise.

I hope this link doesn't get edited.

Having been on the Dawn several times ,most rules on the children are not enforced, as long as they dont go crazy.Babies are not allowed in the childrens pool, but I have never seen anyone chasing then as long as the parents are there. Very few rules are enforced as long as no one gets out of hand they look the other way.I do not have a problem with that. The baby is to young for the Kids crew but you can hire a baby sitter at night .I believe the cost is about $5.00/hr.
