We are the couple who had to cancel due to my husbands accident. I hope you all have a wonderful time and would love some feedback and photos when you return. We're very sad we are not joining you. Hope to hear from you.

Mary, that is so sweet of you. How is your husband doing?

(I'm not on the sailing.)

thank you for asking. he is slowly recovering. still not walking (frac.pelvis). It will be quite a while. 3 months or so. We are hoping to be able to travel in July. What kind of cruises are good to go then?

According to many posters, Alaska. It has not been high on my list of destinations but those who go seem to love it. The weather should be quite mild. I don't mind the heat so Caribbean or a Panama Canal crossing would suit me just fine!

Your flights and transfer accomodations should be suited for your healing hubby!

I have to say I agree with you. Alaska is just not tops on my list either. I love the Caribbean and have not cruised the Panama Canal yet. What about hurricaines? Also have thought about Hawaii.

Mary, how about Bermuda? We've been several times and it is absolutely beautiful, and very easy to get around. I wouldn't be much concerned about hurricanes in July. In the off-chance there is one, you'll either go around it (as we did in late August 2005), or the ship will be diverted either north or south.
