Are there refrigerators in rooms on the Jewel? I wanted to figure out if it was worth the trouble to haul a six-pack of bottle water on with me in Barcelona.

The Pride of Aloha (ex Sky), Sun, Star, Dawn, Jewel, Pride of America, Pride of Hawaii, Pearl, and Gem have or will have refrigerators in every cabin.

The Crown, Majesty, Dream, Wind, and Spirit have refrigerators in the Suite cabins only. Every ship launched during or after 1999 have refrigerators in every cabin. The Spirit was launched in 1998, the others without were launched in 1993 or earlier.

As time passes, standards change.

The Dawn isn't fully equipped with fridges. Dec '05 we stayed in one of the 4 BA on deck 11 and there was no minibar/fridge in it.

Perhaps they have gotten it in the last few month, but i haven't seen a scheduled yard call for the Dawn.

But as you say, standards change. And in most cases thats good for us

billybuzzy - Yep, unfortunately the german version of this brochure was a littlebit more ...hmmmm marketing-orientated and "forgot" to mention all these interesting facts
