We have a soft sided case and bubble wrap for ours. Until now, have always carried it on board the flight with us. I've packed the 35mm, it too has a soft sided case. Don't know what the future holds for carry-ons, but it's not looking good. Best wishes!
I think after a few weeks carry ons will be allowed again, things such as clothes and backpacks throughly inspected but as for cameras and liquids it may take longer. Time will tell. Kinda sucks but I guess we will have to deal with it as long as our security is too ignorant to take care of it. What i want to know is, what is to stop a terrorist from putting something explosive in their checked luggage? Carry on or checked, they can still carry out their horrible mission.
