Dang, I was waiting for someone to reply too. Had the same question for the Dream.. Never been on NCl, so I have no idea. The kiddos are used to the serve your own ice cream cones on CCL, they want to know if the Dream will have them too.

RCI has the free-soft serve-serve yourself- yogurt,vanilla-chocolate-mix- right by the pool area. Cones are right there, bowls, just inside the door to the Windjammer Cafe.
Curious also, DD is thinking about the 8 night on the Spirit out of NYC in June 07.
The subject being NCL's Spirit - I don't know the answer. I do not cruise on NCL these days, the last time was in 1999 and things have changed since then.
Haven't been on the Spirit, but was on the Star in the spring. There was an ice cream "bar" near the stern, on an upper deck ( I think the "Lido" deck) which was open in the afternoon. It was not soft-serve but dipped ice cream; choice of about 4 flavors, which changed daily, and was not an extra charge.
