Since this is an NCL board you must mean the Reservation restaurants. The food in the main dining rooms and buffet are included. NCL usually has 3 or 4 reservation only restaurants, and if you choose to eat in them it is about $10-$15 per person.
Personally, I think the food in the reservation-only restaurants is better than in the dining room. Food is a subjective issue, though, and others may disagree.

When we went on the Dawn, back in 2004 we didn't eat in any of the restaurants that you had to pay extra. We loved all the meals we ate in the regular dining rooms. When we go on the Pearl in Dec. I'm sure we will be doing the same as last cruise.
Other than Le Bistro, which has wonderful food, I found the meals in the dining rooms on NCL more than fine, especially dinner. I prefer the buffet for breakfast, though it gets awfully crowded.

By any means don't feel as though you have to utilize any of the reservation restaurants in order to have a decent meal. The regular dining food is great as most people will agree & there's no extra charge.
the meals in the paying rest are great. the issue is the main restaurants have really gone down hill, they have got cheaper and cheaper you used to get grilled red meats at last 4-5 out of 7 now if you get one or 2 then you are lucky, for me paying rest are great but my friends did not want to pay ever night for meals, to get a decent meal our trip in may 2006 from our trip in early 2005 a huge drop in quality and standards
