My Gal and I are outbound on the Dawn on Dec. 5! She is addicted to Microwaved Kettlecorn and while I understand you can get regular popcorn on board-Kettle Popcorn is a whole different thing!~Hence my question:Is it possible to get packages of microwave popcorn popped? Has anybody any experience with this on board ship?

I have never seen a microwave oven in any cabgin on any ship. I understand your love of popcorn, but let's get realistic, they will pop the corn, not you.

But, if you are so set in your ways, you can pack your own microwave oven and lug it aboard with your bags.

Ron-Thanks for the response-Yes-I realize there are no microwaves in the cabins-I guess I'm wondering if the steward/stewardess will have access to a microwave???

yes, there are microwave ovens in the room service pantries...but come on... do you really have to bring your own food onboard (besided the fact that it's not allowed)?

isn't there enough different restaurants for you to choose from and can your girl not stay away for 7 days...???!!!!

i personally would feel very stupid to ask the cabin or room service steward who is already busy enough to pop some popcorn.... but i guess that's just me...

Phisp, just let him have his popcorn, what is it any of your business to say its not allowed? Are you on the take? Just take your popcorn and see what happens. No one is going to kill you over some yummy popcorn.

Phips-I usually tip well my cabin staff for any and all additional services performed,I am not content to just rely on the prepaid tipping to affect my special requests! 'Nuff said!

[...]

the tipping has nothign to do with the popcorn...

... i think the reason planetphips said it's not allowed is because it is a liability issue...

but go ahead if you can't be without your junkfood... Wave

Edit: Why can't you make postings without attacks of some kind?!? RF
