I am going to Hawaii July 30th on the pride of Hawaii. Just wondering how the ship is. Anyone know?

The ship is new, launched last summer. The islands are spectacular. Be aware that all the NCL ships in Hawaii have a few issues. Service issues are the primary concern. As part of NCLA's contract with the State of Hawaii they have to hire predominantly U.S. crew members. After the contract went into effect the crew unionized. These two issues have caused a number of problems. Don't set your expectations as high as for other cruises you may have experienced and you'll have a great time. Use the ship as a hotel, it's the most affordable way you'll get to visit the islands. If your budget allows, have some meals at dining establishments on the islands, there are many very good ones. I know all your meals onboard are included and that sounds silly, but if you get frustrated onboard remember this post.
