So happy this ship got out of the clutches of NCL and is going to start a new life. My question is this: the ship is being cut in half at Blohm + Voss Repair GmbH, in Hamburg. I would love to see some pics on this process of adding the 100ft midsection. Does anyone have any info? It would be greatly appreciated!

Here's a drawing of the Balmoral will appear after being stretched by 30 meters.

Usually when they stretch a ship it loses something....design, internal function..the two NCL stretched ships I've been on were rather clunky and chopped up.....hope they do a better job on this one.....Happy cruising...

Well, I have to admit, the rendering looks good. Hopefully, like their other two ships that were lengthened previously by RVL (Royal Viking Star/Sky) have an understanding of the dynamics of doing such a dramatic makeover.....wouldn’t you think?

Thanks!

J.
