Hello Was wondering if the engines had been fixed on this ship yet.We are sailing on March 21 and was wondering if anyone knows. Also do they serch your carry on bags ?
By March 21 they will had had to have fixed the ship (or cancel the cruises o nthat ship) One day with engine problems is understandable, but to go to see with engine problems is looking for a lawsuit, so I wouldn't worry too much about your cruise in March. As far as searching your bags- Yes, your carry on items are run through a x-ray machine (like at airports). They will take any alcohol they spot. (If that is what you were thinking about.) You are better off trying to hide it in your checked luggage.

Re:Norwegian Majesty. I just sailed on this ship.During our cruise, the dining rooms and Palace theatre were cold. I wish I'd known that I would need a sweater or lightweight jacket for the dining rooms, and for Palace theatre where the shows are held.
I planning a cruise on the Majesty later this year with a Brother and Sister-in-law. My brother has had a slight heart attack a couple years ago and is worry about the ship medical staff. Can anyone tell me where to go to get the info and has anyone used the ship's medical facilities before?
I am in Chaska, southeast of minneapolis. Going to Mexico Feb 17 on the Norwegian Star with my kids. Was checking the weather, I think it will be TOO warm! Greyson, can you tell me how to get the ticker on your post? I filled it out but can't figure out how to get it in the signature file.
The lovely Majesty's medical staff consist of one doctor and two nurses. The hospital is well equipped and during my time there we had a few heart patients (I'm not a doctor myself) and a very few medical evacuations with helicopter.
If your brother's own doctor is not advising him from traveling it shouldn't be any problem.
Mike B, your brother may have done this already, but in case he hasn't, traveling with a doctor's note is a good idea. The note should describe his condition, the medications he's on, and what he or she suggests in the event of emergency. One of our close family members keeps this with him whenever he travels. In his case, the suggested treatment is a pretty standard one, but if it requires any special medications, you might want to inquire with NCL before boarding. Chances are you won't need to use it, but I always prefer to play it safe.
I couldn't reply to the thread I wanted to reply to, because it had been ended. I just wanted to tell you that I was on the Majesty Christmas cruise...the one where the power went out. I had the best time of my life regardless of the whining passengers. Are you still connected with NCL Majesty? I am trying to find out whether Caribbean Plus will be on the Majesty this summer for the Bahama cruises.
