Has anyone ever cruised the Spirit from New York to Bermuda? I am going May 19th and know nothing at all about the spirit and food and drinks and dress attire etc....or even excursions. Thanks for any input.
While I haven't sailed on the Spirit to Bermuda, I have sailed on her before. The Spirit is one of my favorite ships in NCL's fleet. I love the Asian decor and art aboard her at every turn. I enjoyed the Galaxy of the Stars lounge, particularly the navigation computer display, and the overhang tables in the observation area. I also enjoyed the Bridge Viewing area below the GotS. Watching the Bridge Crew fighting to stay awake reminds me of dull times in the Navy. Besides the decor, the open public spaces aft on the ship provide plenty of shade or sun. One doesn't have to get a deck chair by the main swimming pool to have a great time. The amphitheatre, as it is called on the Spirit's Deck Plans, is a feature not many cruise ships have today, and sets the Spirit apart from ships that place decks upon decks of aft facing balcony cabins and suites on the stern. You can book an inside cabin and rest all day with an aft view without paying for it. The Spirit isn't too large, nor is it too small. Have a great cruise.
I sailed the spirit, one stop was kings wharf bermuta. Its a great ship, medium sized, not massivly huge so there is an intimate type of setting. The 2 dining rooms are kinda small but we never had a problem getting in. Let me know if you have any other spacific questions, I will try and answer them.
