Hi guys, I am a photojournalist for newsagency. And trying to get the picture of NORWAY. And I know that NORWAY is in Port Klang, Malaysia..but can't locate its location..Anybody have some tips for this? Have tried to call Star Cruise media relation..they claim they dont know anything bout this.. Yusni
new rumors suggest that Star Cruises is currently in negotiations with a number of potential buyers, including at least two French projects. One group of investors has reportedly been successful in raising US$ 38 million for the purchase of the ship. That French group hope to be able to raise more money in order to equip the "Norway" with new engines so that she may sail again.
Will keep my fingers crossed. Personally, I think the idea of turning her into a floating hotel was a good one. Maybe that will work out this time. She's a grand old lady.

Unfortunately I don't understand french. If there is anything in that article that has anything to do with selling or buying the S/S Norway, please please let us know. Thanks
I have been able to obtain a photo of the S/S "Norway" taken September 3rd at the Port Klang, Malaysia, anchorage by passengers of the container ship "Baltrum Trader":
She's still majestic, but looking a little tired and sad. I hope they do something sensible with her, no-one cares much for heritage these days which is a real shame.
Keep us posted

Whereas I agree heritage is important, it's more of a government sponsored activity than it is private enterprise activity. I don't see either the governments of France or Norway stepping up to save this ship.
The tenders were taken off the ship in Bremerhaven several weeks before the "Norway" left Germany. A couple of weeks after the "Norway" had left, they also left Bremerhaven by freighter. That ship's destination was listed as Freeport, Bahamas. I don't know whether NCL stills owns the tenders and plans to use them at Great Stirrup Cay (which would be a good idea IMHO) or whether they will be used elsewhere or by a new owner.
Bureau Veritas (the tenders' classification society - they are considered individual ships, i.e. coastal ferries) still lists them as "Little Norway I" and "Little Norway II".
