It's that time of month again. I've just received the latest view of BLUE LADY, taken this time from the starboard side. As predicted, she is going fast: www.midshipcentury.com
Peter Knego, just back from the very different world of the EURODAM
I have not read the latest messages here. But do you know what happened to all the interior of this great ship? The website ssnorway.no is not available more, where have it been sold?
Apparently Mr. Shaw has changed his webserver. I too have tried to pull it up but to no avail. I was curious to see when he was going to start posting some really good items from the ship and not the usual el cheapo & expensive plastic signage that has dominated the site. He'd probably be better off on eBay. Anyway good luck with your findings.

Off topic, I know....but at current exchange rates....the watch is selling for 75,000 British pounds....or close to $150,000 American. It's limited to only 2012 being manufactuered. (100th anniversary upcoming)
A lot of different opinions and chatter about wearing something consisting of pieces of a grave site on your wrist....but others think it's a fabulous looking item. Ought to be for that price. Quite a conversation piece to say the least.

A watch made from pieces of the Titanic - I have never heard anything more disrespectful in my life ! Blatant commercialism... I hope we NEVER see such disregard for the sublime ss France.

I think I would rather see the steel of the ss France be put into commercial use - so that a poor cabdriver may be able to feed his family and make a living. Most of the population of India is soooo poor that I would be surprised if anyone here would disagree with this statement.

NCL should have considered saving and preserving the Aft Funnel either as a memorial or reincarnated aboard a new ship of the same name! The latest pictures are very hard to look at....and....very sad!
