It should say something like boarding pass. It will have your cabin number, voyage number, your name, your credit card number and a place to sign. The 12 pages sounds like your passenger contract.

Hi Wendy. It sounds like what you have printed are indeed your e-docs. Penny's got it covered as far as what's included. I have my NCL e-docs right here, and they contain:

Cruise Summary Details, 1 page: Ticket #, ship name, and a list of what's included in the documentation.

Cruise Ticket, 2 pages: our names, sailing date, ship name, stateroom, and some other information. The first two pages are identical, except one is to be presented for passage, and the other is the guest copy.

Excursion and Itinerary, 1 page. As mine is a two night cruise, this is pretty sparse. Smile

The rest of the packet is the NCL Guest Ticket Contract, which is six pages long.

You should also print out a copy of the Advance Guest Registration Form (one per passenger), which is in a separate document.

I am quoting myself as I seem to have neglected to follow my own instructions, and don't want the same to happen to anyone else. Upon embarkation, have the cruise line's copy of the Cruise Ticket in your hand and ready to present to the agent. I had forgotten about this, and had it in a folder with all of my other cruise information. Fortunately, it was accessible.

Other than that, which was our fault, the process of using the e-docs went very well. And, BTW, real luggage tags were mailed to us a few weeks before the cruise.

Our first NCL cruise is less than 2 weeks away, and our group had some trouble getting the e-docs. They are supposed to be available on-line after the last payment, but 2 months later still no e-docs. Not sure if this is an issue with NCL or travel agent. Also the advance guest registration was done months ago - one family registration in our group literaly disappeared on line. My Dad purchased this cruise for 16 as a Christmas gift (along with the hotel)and feels that he should have had some confirmation (e-docs) sooner then 2 weeks before crusing. We will address this issue with NCL, but I would print everything and contact NCL if you are not sure you have the proper documents.
When we contacted NCL we received 4 luggage tags per family and 2 booklets (with the same info you find on-line) 2 weeks before cruise.
Again, nothing that confirmed our hotel, transfers, and cruise. My parents have cruised with NCL before and did not have any problems, all documents were sent by mail.
I can't wait to get to Hawaii.

Hi lal

Sometimes the e-docs are sent to your travel agent. That has happened to us on each of our 3 NCL cruises. Give him/her a call and he/she should organize all the documents for your cruise, hotel and transfers. I do like that NCL does send the real luggage tags - sometimes directly to us and sometimes to the travel agent.

Lucky you to go to Hawaii. Have a great cruise.

NCL changed their process for distribution of e-docs several months ago. They used to send them to your T/A and they would be forwarded to you via email. This is no longer their process. Everything is handled online at their website. When the rules changed for the requirement to register online, they stopped sending the docs. You simply do their "Advanced Guest Registration" and after completing it, you print the docs right from the website, same spot you registered.

Cheers, Neil

Not to scare you...I just want to make sure all bases are covered. Does your Dad have confirmation that the final payment was received by NCL, such as a credit card statement?
