Kids Crew top age is 17 years.
Your teenagers will still be allowed to attend the Teen Discos, or for that matter, adult lounges dances.

From the NCL website:

What about smoking, drinking and gambling on the ship?

Smoking is permitted in designated areas in the bars and outside on open decks. All other areas on board ship are non-smoking. Guests must be age 21 to purchase or drink alcohol** however ages 18 years to 20 years may purchase and consume beer and wine only with a completed parental consent form. This policy is not applicable to the NCLA vessels or Hawaii and Alaska itineraries. This form must be given to the reception desk on board the vessel by the parent or guardian accompanied by the young adult with proof of age and relationship. Guests must be age 18 to gamble on the ship. If a guest under age 18 wins in the casino and cannot provide proof of age, he or she will not be paid the winnings. There is no casino aboard Pride of Aloha, Pride of America and Norwegian Wind. Guests are not allowed to bring on board the vessel any alcoholic beverages of any kind.

**With the exception of Alaska and Hawaii itineraries, NCL permits guests between the ages of eighteen (18) and twenty (20) to purchase and personally consume wine and beer while on NCL ships with the consent of a parent or legal guardian (“Parental Consent”). Complete details and the Parental Consent form are available on board at the Reception Desk.

Also, it is my understanding that after 11 pm, the standard policy is you must be 18 or older to be in the bars/lounges.

Hi Cherilyn,

My husband and I will be traveling on July 30th also and will be traveling with our 19 year old son and our 29 year old son and his wife. We are from Florida and PA. You mentioned you had a 19 and 18 year old - boys or girls? Are you doing shore excursions, private tours or going on your own? We just booked yesterday and are very excited.

Hi - My son will be 19 and my daughter will be eighteen. We are all very excited also. Havent thought about excursions yet, but will probably do something on our own rather than the boat. Both kids went with us to Puerto Rico last year and met so many kids, many of which they still see and talk with. Keep in touch and maybe we can switch email addresses and talk more personally.

Hi Cherilyn,

My email address is apacana@comcast.net and I would love to keep in touch. BTW, my son is 18 not 19 (typo, sorry). My son is a little on the shy side when it comes to meeting new kids, but once you get to know him, you can't shut him up! We are two couples plus Bryan, so it may be nice for him to be able to go off with your kids in the evenings without mom and dad and brother and sister-in-law hanging around all the time. Our kids are close in age so hopefully they will have alot in common. We are from Florida, but originally from NJ.

I have been trying to work on shore excursions and driving myself nuts. So much to think about. We've never been to Europe before, but numerous times in Caribbean. This is our 4th cruise and I think it is a fabulous way to see Europe - hassle free - almost! I think we are going to do private tours in Rome and Florence and maybe a shore excursion with NCl in Naples. It can get pretty costly. I understand you can see more with a private tour since you don't have to wait on so many other people and the smaller vehicles can get into other places more easily with less walking. Still working on Villafranche and Sicily - might do something on own or take NCL excursion. You could literaly spend every waking hour on these boards gathering information!

I really like this "freestyle" cruising idea. It's nice not to get locked into a certain time for meals each day especially with full days touring.

I've been reading so many message boards on different sites, it's hard to remember where I've posted! I've checked on the CC board under Roll Call for our particular cruise dates, but there is not much going on there yet. I guess when the date gets closer, there will be more posts.

Keep in touch and I hope to hear from you soon.
