Hi-My first post about this disappeared from the chat-I don't know why. What is the best way to get from LAX to the port in LA? I was told it was only $30 for a cab, but I called and they said $60-70. Super Shuttle is $17 per person or a6 for $72. What's the deal?

LAX to port terminal is quite a long distance. Suggest you take the cruise bus from LAX to Port Terminal which is located in Long Beach, or take the Super Shuttle. A cab will cost the most and the freeways are very crowded as the meter runs in heavy slow LA traffic. Suggest that you call your travel agent, arrange bus pick up from LAX to Long Beach......

Otherwise be prepared to pay big bucks each way.

Your original post is in the Port Chat forum under Port Hotels and transfers.
Also, you may want to clarify with your travel agent which port you are leaving from. Richard & Mary have the impression you are leaving from Long Beach; but I see NCL ships leaving from San Pedro. These are two different ports and terminals and you surely don't want to go to the wrong one.

Another way to go is to get on the airport web site, see what shuttles there are, call the shuttle company directly and ask if they go to the port from where you're sailing. I know they go to San Pedro and it's not that expensive-it's been a couple years since I flew into LAX, and if I recall, it was about $15 or $16 each; no big deal. It took about half an hour to get to San Pedro.

fmctravler,

your original posting has been moved to the Port Hotels & Transfers forum, as your question was not about NCL but about transfers. Please continue in your original thread. Smile
