is anyone going on the first voyage, 2nd of December, we are very excited about this, but after reading some of the posts, wonder if we have made a big blunder.
firstly, this 10% tip, it is a lot for two people over 10 days, the cost of drinks which to all accounts is very expensive, and the automatic 15% added to the bar bill before you have a drink, unless you have a large budget and money is no object, for pensioners wishing to have a nice cruise, we will have to be very careful. This cruise is cheaper than a lot of others, but when taken into account all of the extras we could have picked another cruise, but this is our fault for not researching further
It's not a 10% tip, but a $10 per day per adult service charge. So, over 10 days, it's another $100 per adult. As for the 15% auto tipping for drinks at the bars and lounges, isn't 15% the normal tip where you live? It is where I live, and I wouldn't want bartenders and waitresses slaving hard to please me to get less.
