We are sailing on the Spirit in August of 2008 and was wondering if you can pre purchase drink and soda cards. If anyone has done that please let me know.

Thanks,

You will NOT be able to pre purchase the drink cards before getting on the ship. Once on the ship there will be several opportunites to buy the "soda drink sticker", and the bar staff will take your ship card and it will be debited (charged) for the soda sticker. A soda sticker will be placed on the cruise ship card for latter use.

we just cruised on NCL and bought the soda pkg. the only problem is, they are happy to sell it to you but finding a server who will make the trip to get you a soda instead of a cocktail that is automatically charged a gratuity is another story, good luck!

We just got back from our cruise on the Spirit. We had a blast and we did not have a bit of problems ordering a coke from a server. Each one we asked brought it promptly and with a smile on their face. Great service, great fun!!

No, you cannot bring anything on the ship unless it by doctor's orders. My sister brought a gallon of water for her CPAP machine because it had to be distilled. They did tell me you can bring a couple of bottles of water if you want. No need to though the ship water is very good. They told me absolutely no soda was allowed.

Sometimes you can bring soda and/or bottled water on board but sometimes it get through sometimes it doesn't. Put it will your checked luggage with a luggage tag and they will deliver it to your stateroom with your luggage. We had a case of coke and nothing was said and it arrived to our suite with our luggage.
