would anyone know how long it would take to get from kings wharf to hamilton bermuda by ferry ?the cost? are they reliable? also do cell phones work reliably in bermuda/bahamas? thanks much
The Bermuda ferry system is extremely reliable - they run like clockwork. There is scheduled service from King's Wharf (the Dockyard) to Hamilton frequently during the day. It takes approximately 20 minutes. The cost of a one-way fare is $4. But if you think you may make more than 1 trip in a day or also plan to visit St. George's - you might want to consider one of their all day passes ($12/1 day; $20/2day; $28/3 day). The all day transportation passes allow you unlimited rides on all public transportation (ferries and busses). you can find the schedule and more info at www.seaexpress.bm .
I have t-mobile and service worked ok in the Bahamas, but not at all in Bermuda.

Nancy, do you have a tri-mode (GSM) phone with international service activated? I've not been back to Bermuda since I got my phone but my T-mobile phone has worked for me all over the Caribbean, Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and India.
In checking my coverage on the T-mobile website, if I were there, calls in and out of Bermuda would cost me $1.49/minute. Additionally, GPRS coverage is also available.
MM - I'm checking the Cingular website but have not yet been able to determine if they have coverage there or not but as you can see, even if they do, not all phones/services are created equal.
