I was wondering if you can pack a bottle of wine or booze in your check in luggage? I mean, just something for the room to have while you are getting ready or hanging out.
Sneaking alcohol onboard violates NCL policy and is therefore not endorsed by cruise-chat.com.
According to NCL, you may bring a bottle of wine onboard, but you will need to declare it at boarding and pay a corkage fee. So, pack it in your carry-on, not checked luggage.
As for "booze" -- no. But, you can order a bar set-up for your cabin, as described in this thread.
Well I certainly don't mind paying a corkage fee and the bar set up sounds fine too. I'll contact NCL and find out what the fee is for corkage and see about a bar set up. Thanks, LisaP I didn't mean to rattle any feathers here. I simply did not know. I was not 'sneaking' as you put it, I was merely packing, as I do for most trips. It was a question that I feel you answered rather abruptly and accusing.
Please don't take offense at Lisa's response. There have been SOOOOO many threads that begin with someone asking a question similar to yours that degenerate into "the many ways to break the rules" that we have taken the stance to close the topics as soon as they arrive. There are already many on this board that can be found with a simple search.
Yes, she answered abruplty, but it has become our stock response to this question as most of the time the poster is not looking for the "legal" ways of getting liquor into their cabins.
But the bar set up is the best way and despite the cost, it does save money over buying all your drinks from the bars.
