The brochure says the current is 500, but my hairblower will need more than that. Also have a curling iron and hubby has an electric razor.
What kind of converter do I get and where?

There is a 110 outlet in all cabins at the desk. The bathroom has a plug for razors. I would make do for 1 week using the ships blowdryer.

The ship's hairdryer works very well...Electric razors are no problem...Look good and have a great cruise...

It's a 500 Watts limitiation on the Spirit, not current (Amps). A 500 Amp cable would be larger than most 220 Volt Ranges, and Clothes Dryers use in most American homes.

Most household portable appliances uses far less than 500 Watts. Just about the only appliances that use more than 500 Watts have an electric heater in them, like hair dryers and portable space heaters.

Also, the only NCL ship with a 500 Watt limitation on 110 Volt American power is the Spirit. You should have no problems on other ships.
