According to what I have found on this site, the capacity of this ship is 1256 (double occ) and the crew size is 560.

I know nothing about what is considered a good passanger/crew ratio so I do not know if this HAL ship has a good ratio or not. 560 people waiting to serve on us seems like a heck of a lot of people to me. Is this good/bad?

A passenger-crew ratio of about 2-1 is very good on the mainstream lines. And this was evident on our Maasdam cruise (a sister ship to Statendam).

That is just about correct. The Statendam is our favorite ship and you will find the service totally amazing. Have a wonderful cruise.

The Statendam was our first ship, older but nice.
