We are on the Western Carribbean Cruise on 16th November (after a week at Disney!!) 2008.
I really want to relax at our day at Half Moon Cay and would like to rent a Cabana.
Are all the coloured cabanas in the same place?? We have a 4 year old girl and don;t want to be too far away from toilets etc. but far rnough away from the crowds to relax and close enough to the water so we can see her playing/paddling.
I have two resources for you. The first is a map of Half Moon Cay, from HAL's Web site, showing the locations of the cabanas and other points of interest on the private island. As you can see, the cabanas are in a long row, with some a lot closer to the action than others.
The second is a link ot a photo montage someone once referred to me, supposedly showing the relative positions of each cabana.
susanmaz I did some research and you are correct. I guess we did not go down far enough to see them. We stopped just before the bar with the sign that says I could stay here forever. Though nice $219.00 for 4 people and I belive $45.00 for each additional one seems pricy. I read that the cabana boy who helps you and about 2 other cabanas used to deliver your lunch to you but no longer does that and you have to get it yourself. No big deal but I think a clam shell will do me just fine!
You are so right - - the clam shell worked just fine for the price. However - when we were there, all of the cabanas were rented. I did find that it's best to reserve a clam shell before sailing... I reserved ours about 5 months before we sailed... by the time our ship was at Half Moon Cay, all clam shells were accounted for. Those who waited weren't able to rent one.
