We are debating which ship to take in Alaska. We are going with a few friends and family. My family has a 7 and 4 year old. Any thoughts?

The Westerdam was refitted in spring 2005, holds 1916 passengers with a crew of 800. The Oosterdam was refitted in October 2006, holds 1848 passengers with a crew of 800. The service will be outstanding on both ships. Seems like it would be a draw, guess you'll have to choose which itinerary is best for you.
