We will be cruising from Ft. Lauderdale, then to the Bahamas, then crossing the Atlantic to a week in the Mediterranean March 15 - April 2. We would appreciate information on temperatures, weather conditions and precipitation we might expect at that time of year. In addition what type of clothing should we plan to bring?

Hi ellelewis, welcome to Cruise-Chat. Sounds like a marvelous cruise is coming your way soon. I would suggest bring clothing you can layer and a rain jacket or rain coat. I bought some poncho-type inexpensive rain gear at Wal-Mart. They were in the hunting/fishing section. They fold up to 3 1/2"x 6" x 1/4" and were $.84/each. I take them on all cruises. The weather should be decent, but you never know. The Bahamas should be in the 80s, the Med can range from chilly to warm. Please let us know how the cruise went when you return. We have done that crossing the last two years, but a month later. The roughest part both times has been the first day out of Florida, and the Mediterranean itself. The Atlantic was calm, and I can say I have experienced the doldrums. The weather was warm across the Atlantic, t-shirt and shorts, but take layers because it is spring weather in the Mediterranean countries and the temperature can range quite a bit.

Transatlantic cruise to Europe. Assume 50* + sometimes lower. Rain is a possibility so pack a poncho. It will be fine if you layer your caribbean clothes ... Have a great trip!
