How soon after paying for the cruise do you receive all the information packets. We are going on our first cruise on the Oosterdan in Feb. 07 and I'm dying to know everything I need to know. Such as what to pack, what the excursions are, etc.

Most cruise lines send out tickets anywhere from 3-6 weeks before the cruise, no matter when you pay your final payment. Particularly if you're getting airfare through Holland America, the tickets may arrive closer to sailing date.

In the meantime, however, you can go onto the Holland America web site and look for the tab that says, "For Booked Guests." The drop-down menu includes dress suggestions, shore excursions, and Frequently Asked Questions.

Thanks, I have done that, but my sister in Canada is computer illiterate and won't be able to. I thought they sent out information once you paid for your cruise. Well I'm fine thanks to all the info online.
