My husband and I will be sailing aboard the Statendam in Feb, an Australia/New Zealand itinerary. I've read that this ship is a little "tired", in need of refurbishing. Any comments? As far as shore excursions on this trip, any "not-to-be-missed" places? Suggestions or comments of any kind appreciated. Thanks!

We sailed on the Statendam in July to Alaska. Not tired at all. First class accomodatioins, food, staff, and fun. You may have received outdated information as I seem to recall that the ship had been updated recently.

Thanks for the update! I've never been disappointed by Holland America. Really looking forward to this Australia/New Zealand adventure!
