I arrive next Saturday 22nd and have an overnight stay at the Hotel Galvez which looks rather good, cheers Carnival.

I've heard Moody Gardens is a neat place, and the Johnson Space Center south of Houston in Webster is very neat - I've been there.

The Johnson Space Center is quite interesting, but it's a LONG drive from Galveston! Check www.galveston.com for information on what to do in the town itself.

Gulf Greyhound Park is just north of Galveston if you are into racing. We visited the track a few weeks ago the night before we left on our cruise and had a great time.

I hope DJEddy comes back and tells us about his experience at the Galvez Hotel in Galveston. I have read that it is a ghetto.
