I'm looking for any feedback you can provide on the "discount" parking lots in Galveston. I realize a parking space is a parking space but I'm mostly interested in their reliability of advertised shuttle service to and from the port. I'd like to save as much as possible but not at the expense of being stuck at the port upon return.

Thanks for any input.

Robert

If my momory serves me well, it seems that the off port parking as around $10 per day (including a covbered spot and shuttle) but the parking right at the port itself (walking distance to the ship) was also $10 per day, but not covered.

Tom, EZCruise Parking is offering a rate of $45 per week if booked ahead of time through the internet. Not a bad little savings but I'm just not sure of their shuttle service reliability. Would hate to get stuck for $25. Guess that's why I'm seeking some feedback from anyone with experience with them or others.

Thanks for your reply.

I am not sure about EZ Cruise Shuttle, but the lots down the road did seem to have shuttles consistently available. The lot with the big blow up dolphin seemed to be the most popular. I am sailing out of Galveston in a couple of weeks, I will see what I can find out.

Many of the hotels in Galveston offer free parking for the week if you stay with them the night before or the night after your cruise. They'll take you to and from the port.

I am sailing on Celebrity's Galaxy on November 12th to the Panama Canal. Looking forward to it too, but I just heard that they are not going to call in Cozumel (will spend the day at sea instead). I am disappointed about it.

Tom,
That's too bad. I know you love your "sea days" but being able to get a first site visit of Cozumel would have been great. I was looking forward to your pictures.
